2017-2021

Bachelor's in Kinesiology
Texas A&M

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University, where I gained a deeper understanding of the human body through studies in anatomy, physiology, and exercise science. While in school, I worked as a kids’ gymnastics and Ninja Warrior coach, learning how to teach and communicate in ways kids truly understand. This blend of science and hands-on coaching shaped my approach to helping young people grow strong, healthy, and confident—physically and mentally.

2021-2024

Stretch Lab & Kids Martial Arts

After graduating, I began coaching kids’ martial arts while launching my career as an MMA fighter. At the same time, I worked at StretchLab in College Station, where I gained hands-on experience helping people of all backgrounds improve their flexibility, mobility, and overall movement quality. That role gave me a deep, practical understanding of the human body—not just how it moves, but why it sometimes doesn’t. I learned to identify the common limitations that hold people back and how to address them through movement, positioning, and smart, consistent training.

Summer 2024-Present
10th Planet and Coaching

In the summer of 2024, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I joined 10th Planet Austin Jiu-Jitsu, home to a professional MMA team coached by UFC veteran Andrew Craig. I was quickly invited to begin training with the MMA team, and since then, I’ve leveled up tremendously—both as a fighter and as a coach. Being surrounded by high-level athletes has sharpened my skills and deepened my understanding of what it takes to perform at the highest level.

At the same time, I started working as a coach at Orangetheory Fitness, where I applied the hands-on knowledge I had developed at StretchLab to help adults improve their movement, strength, and endurance in a fast-paced group training environment.

After about six months at Orangetheory, I was offered the chance to lead kids’ martial arts classes at a local gym—my first opportunity to run my own programs. I quickly made the transition and poured myself into the role, teaching kids of all backgrounds not only martial arts, but also strength, conditioning, and—most importantly—character. Over the next five months, I gained valuable experience, built strong connections with local families, and developed a loyal following.

When that gym eventually closed and was handed over to a traditional Taekwondo school, I saw it as a sign to take the leap and build something of my own.

Now, I run WTX Academy, offering personal training for adults and private and group martial arts sessions for kids of all ages. I bring together everything I’ve learned—from professional MMA and jiu-jitsu training, to functional strength coaching, to working hands-on with both kids and adults—to help each person I work with become not just stronger, but better.
